Recovering in ICU.
Will hopefully get to see her within the hour.
So it sounds like the last hour of surgery was just watching for bleeding, placing new stitches and watching. They weren't able to close her chest due to the swelling, but it sounds like that is not unusual. They plan on closing the chest in a couple of days.
Seeing her this time might be a happier time than the birth. I would cry my eyes out for sure.

I'm so happy to hear that! I have been thinking about all of you constantly this morning. I can't imagine the stress you are feeling. We'll have to have a big party when she is home and feeling good again.
