I C U Later

Morning rounds went well. The ICU Cardiac Team is comfortable enough with The Peanut's progress to ship her off to another ward today. Just waiting for a bed to open up - probably sometime this afternoon.

Here's the latest in baby Haute Couture - Oxygen
 Nasal Canula, Feeding Tube, ECG Electrodes, Butterfly Tape Sutures, all tied together nicely by a light cotton twill wrap with hospital striping. Watchout Fashonistas there's a new kid in town:

    Shame they had to use the railway track stitches! I dunno how they did mine, but there wasn't a stitch to be seen! On the other hand, look how fast they're healing!

    Gotta love the expression with a bit of resigned despair ... "Please tell me this isn't going to go on much longer!"

    Luckily she shouldn't have any visible stitches. She's been sown up under the skin and then has the skin tape keeping things aligned while she heals.

    Heck, Who cares about stitches ? Olivia is alive and kicking!I have only seen her in person once around Dr Ben's neck and that was a hoot. I hope to see her again soon at her home with her animal friends!Good night Lil Peanut.
