This is wonderful news. The University of Ottawa Heart Institute held a telethon last weekend on a local TV station, and one of the interviews on there was with a 16 year old girl who was a survivor of a very similar series of surgeries started as a newborn done in conjunction with the Children's Hospital here ... She says apart from the telltale scar, nobody would know of her adventures. She is leading a very normal life ... and spends a lot of time fundraising for the Heart Institute and Children's Hospital.
