  2. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
My son-in-law (Dr. Wei Lau)is head of the new Cardiac/Thoraic Surgery area there (not Peds but adults)...he says you are in the best place for Olivia. If you need something while you are there, please find a hospital phone directory and call him!

  3. As a friend of Sara's mum from daze of yore (she'll tell you if she hasn't already!) who just graduated as a heart patient from the Ottawa Heart Institute (Canada), I am just astounded at the things they can do today that they couldn't do just 10 years ago, let alone when we were children. (I probably wouldn't be here if that weren't the case!)

It's easy to lose sight of that scenario when you see pipes and wires coming off a body ... even when that body is your own. It must be devastating to see your child in that state. I was pleased to hear that your doctors picked up on the problems quickly.

Anyway, this message comes with tons of good thoughts for Olivia, her parents and her grandparents!

Bonne Chance little Olivia, and I sincerely hope that you don't need it, but a little luck in waiting, just in case can't hurt!
