Movin' Up a Weight Class

The visiting nurse (aka Sasquatch ... she has really big hands....) was by today and gave Olivia a once over. She now weighs in at a whopping 6lbs 4oz !!! Yeah!!!

More blood was drawn to check her Bilirubin & Liver values. Last weeks values had crept up again (Total Bili was up, Direct was down, Indirect was up).. go figure. Her liver values also had crept upwards from the time of discharge. Hopefully today will bring some better news on that front. Visibly Olivia looks a lot less Jaundiced than she did last week, so hope her bloodwork will follow suit.

She is eating really well, somewhere between 2.5 -4 oz per feeding -- about every 3 hours.

She was dissapointed in the basketball game last night, she was hoping for a closer affair than the blowout provided. She also can't wait to grow into her Jayhawk Bib to show her true colors.

  1. Good for her!!!! She must be eating well. :-) Too bad her basketball game didn't go her way (or her dad's). :-)

  3. grats on all the good news.

Kaya is doing pretty well, she has almost overcome a HORID diaper rash that had her bottom bleeding sometimes. Left over from the hospital and the excessive amounts of pooping she did there.

Last week during a trip to toys R us for her brothers birthday, she (I) picked out a very nice pink and white tigers jersey for her to wear in a month or so...:)

  4. YAY OLIVIA!!!! That is awesome she is being a chow hound! I remember when we were in the hospital, and when we came home we went round and round w/ the docs b/c they wanted Chloe to eat 2 oz every 2 hrs, and she wanted 4 oz every 4 hours. (In my opinion it was the same thing, with less of her screaming doing it her way). SO it sounds like she is doing FABULOUS! I hope you guys are finally getting a few zzz's!

  5. Olivia, Ben & Sara,

You have been in my prayers since Olivia first was ill. I will continue to keep all of you there as I know everyone else will also. It will be nice when your family can have some real time at home without allthe visits to the doctors. This blog is great for keeping us all updated and probably saves you from a million questions from all of us who are concerned. Take care and god speed!!!
